Posting a Letter Home

The children really enjoyed our walk to the local post office. They were excited to buy a stamp and post their letter, and showed growing confidence doing something so “real life”.

On the way, they were very curious about what they could see around them. They pointed out street signs, house numbers, bus stops and different road signs, and chatted about what they noticed. This was a great chance to build their early reading and number skills in a natural way.

They also did a lovely job of staying together and being aware of road safety, stopping at crossings and listening carefully.

It was a really enjoyable outing with lots of learning happening along the way 😊
