End of Spring Term

This half term, the children have gained so much from our topic, “Who Can Help Us?”. We have been very fortunate to experience this learning first-hand through our visit to the fire station and our walk to the post office. These opportunities helped bring the children’s understanding to life.

We hope the children have been talking with you at home about how to keep safe and who can help them. We have also explored the many different ways people help us in our daily lives — from crossing the road safely, to collecting our recycling, to helping us tidy our rooms, and so much more.

As you will see from our working wall, we are continuing to build our phonics knowledge. In Maths, we have been learning our doubles to 10, as well as exploring odd and even numbers and understanding why numbers belong in each group.

Next half term, we will begin our new topic, “How Does Your Garden Grow?”, and we are very much looking forward to it.
