An Exciting Day of Learning in Preston!

Our children had a fantastic and memorable day in Preston, filled with curiosity, adventure and hands-on learning.

The first stop of the day was the Hindu Temple, where the children were welcomed warmly and given the opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings. They listened attentively as they learned about Hindu beliefs, traditions, and worship. The children were eager to ask thoughtful questions, showing great respect and genuine interest. Their curiosity helped them gain a deeper understanding of a different culture and religion, making it a truly enriching experience.

After lunch, we headed to the Museum of Lancashire, where the focus shifted to World War II and the secret missions that shaped history. The children were fascinated by the displays and stories of bravery, teamwork, and resilience. They particularly enjoyed taking part in the interactive activities based on real secret missions, which brought history to life in an exciting way.

One of the highlights was the challenge to search for a hidden German U-boat, requiring careful observation, problem-solving, and teamwork. The children worked brilliantly together, showing great determination as they pieced together clues.

The final mission of the day involved planning their own strategy for D-Day. As a team, they discussed how they would carry out the mission successfully—thinking about tactics, communication, and the importance of working together. Their ideas were creative, thoughtful, and showed a strong understanding of what they had learned.

Overall, it was an inspiring day filled with learning, teamwork, and fun. The children returned full of excitement and pride in what they had achieved. What a wonderful way to bring history—and the world around us—to life!
