Year 5 – Mummifying Apples with parents

In year 5, we have been learning about mummification and instructions. We talked about what makes a good set of written instructions. Once we had a success criteria, we used it to create a set of instructions on how to mummify an apple. We invited our parents in to join us in following the instructions. We really enjoyed mummifying the apples and getting our parents involved in a typical English lesson including our weekly spellings test and daily SPaG challenge.
