Y6 Science Experiment

Y6 have conducted an experiment where they explored the growth of bacteria in different conditions. Together, we decided to see how much mould would grow on bread in: a dark space, room temperature, a hot space (near the radiator), bread soaked in milk, dirty and in a fridge. The picture below shows our findings. It was interesting to see the different types of mould that grew on the bread.

Our findings show that bread in the fridge grew the least mould where bread that was dirty and soaked in milk grew the most mould.
