We love completing jigsaws in nursery to help with our mathematical development.

Jigsaws are fantastic for developing children’s fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, problem solving and reasoning skills, spatial awareness, cognitive skills, improved memory and attention span, oracy skills to talk about what we use on the pictures on the jigsaws-each week linked to our weekly topic and finally for FUN!! The children love completing jigsaws independently and with their peers and feel a great sense of pride and satisfaction when they complete a challenging jigsaw. We have jigsaws ranging from insert puzzles, 2 piece jigsaws to 100 piece jigsaws. There are also interactive jigsaws that we complete on the interactive whiteboard.
