Spring Term week 1 in Nursery

This week has been a lovely start to our Spring Term. We have been to visit the new children at home and then the new children have had settle in sessions in nursery, with their parents. It has been lovely having the new families in nursery with us and the returning children have helped to settle the new children into nursery. It has been a cold, icy, snowy week and the children have enjoyed sledging down the big hill and exploring the ice and snow outside. We have been talking about where the ice comes from and why it melts. The younger children in the rainbow room have started focussing on a colour each few weeks, starting with the colour red this week and doing lots of activities relating to red. The children in the sunshine room have had lots of fun, outside in the snow. The children in the pre-school room have started preparing for going to school in September, by finding their name cards each time on arrival to self register and starting their next step at home books. It has been lovely to see how excited the children have been to do their homework and we would like to thank all the parents for their support with their child’s learning at home.
