Romans Rule

June 11, 2026

The children in Hazel Class learnt the Romans had two ruling systems before they decided that being ruled by an Emperor was the most effective way to expand their empire.

They began with a king and 300 senates. That didn’t work!

They tried a Republic. That didn’t work.

They decided to have an Emperor to tell the people what to do. That worked… until the Empire became too large!

The children worked in these three systems to build a Roman town to see which was the most effective.

The children who worked under the emperor soon discovered that if they didn’t do as they were told, there was a gruesome consequence!
