Pet week in nursery

The children are really enjoying our pet week. They are enjoying the pet related activities and looking at the photos the parents have sent in of their pets at home and talking to each other about all the different pets. The children have been practising their oracy skills to talk to an audience, at carpet time, about what their pet likes to eat, what they like to do and funny stories about their pets. The children have been practising actively listening to their peers talking about their pets and have been encouraged to ask each other questions about their pets.
