People who help us- Firefighters and doctors and nurses

In the pre-school room we have started our new topic on People who help us. Last week we learnt about Firefighters and how they rescue people in an emergency and extinguish fires with water from their hose pipes. We learnt new words linked to firefighters and used them in our play. Take a look at some of the photos of us developing our skills through last week’s topic. This week we have been learning about doctors and nurses. We had a special visit from a nurse from A and E today and he showed us how he uses equipment at the hospital to check patients. The children loved using the real equipment. We have been role playing being doctors/nurses and patients in nursery and developing our cutting, oracy and jigsaw skills through this week’s topic. The photos show what fun we have been having in nursery.
