Our week on learning about our senses

We have had a brilliant week in nursery learning about our senses. We used our ears to hear different sounds and the different sounds the musical instruments made. We had to close our eyes and guess which instrument we could hear. We used our eyes to go on number hunts around nursery, looking for the numbers we have been learning. We used our sense of smell to explore the mint, sage and lavendar in the playdough area and water. Our senses of touch was explored through different items in the sensory trays, ranging from jelly, weetabix, lentils, fruit cocktail, pasta and different cereals and described how they felt. Finally we explored our sense of taste, tasting new foods e.g. aubergine at snack time and we iced biscuits to eat as a treat to end the week.
