Our visit to the school pond.

This week we have been learning about the lifecycle of frog. We have been reading lots of information books and learning that frogs lay frogspawn, which turns into tadpoles. Then the tadpoles grow bigger and develop front legs then back legs and are called froglets. Then their tails get shorter and they turn into frogs, which them lay frogspawn again. we learnt that frogs eat flies. We have also read lots of stories about frogs catching and eating frogs. We visited the school pond to looks for frogspawn, tadpoles and/or frogs. We didn’t see any but we saw the lily pads that the frogs sit on and the flies that the frogs eat.
