Has Morecambe always been a holiday destination?

Chestnut class had a fantastic day exploring Morecambe and its landmarks. We are trying to find out if Morecambe has always been a holiday destination. We looked for signs of where old landmarks used to be such as the polo tower and bubbles and what it has been replaced with and talked about why they might no longer be there. We explored the parks and beaches Morecambe has to offer and decided we would all love to come to Morecambe for a holiday. Especially when the sun is shining.
