End of Autumn 2 in Reception

We have had lots of fun this half term learning about different festivals and celebrations. The children have now moved onto Phase 3 in Red Rose and have been busy applying their phonic knowledge in their reading and writing. In maths, we have been comparing amounts using the vocabulary of ;more’, ‘fewer’ and ‘equal’ . We have also explored ‘whole’ and ‘part’, both as part/whole of an object and within a number i.e. 3 – 2 is a part and 1 is a part and the whole of me is 3! We hope the photographs of all the book covers help the children to recall the texts we have shared this half term.
