Change and Growth in Spring Time

How exciting!!

We have some eggs incubating the incubator. Jenny went to the farm to collect the eggs. At the farm the mummy hen sits on the eggs to keep them warm. In nursery we don’t have a mummy hen to keep the eggs warm so we keep them in the incubator to keep them warm. There is an embryo inside the egg that gets bigger every day whilst the chick is growing inside the egg. After 21 days the chicks will hatch out of the eggs and we will hopefully have some baby chicks in nursery.

Our caterpillars have also arrived! Look how tiny they are! We can’t wait to watch them change every day and grow longer and longer and hairier and spikier every day!
