Elm class have had a lovely first week at school. We have looked for early signs of Autumn in the school grounds and have settled into our two Rocks. We learnt about Sir Richard Owen, a famous paleontologist who was born in Lancaster. Did you know that he invented the word ‘dinosaur’? Inspired by him, we created fossilised dinosaur bones in play doh. In Maths we have been counting in ten after practising making ten with the maths manipulatives available to help with learning in the classroom.
