World Book Day 2025
March 14, 2025As part of World Book Day we had a special visit from local MP Cat Smith. 
During her visit, Cat listened to children read from Years 1, 3 and 6 and was very impressed with the high standard of reading across the different year groups. 
Cat has shared a post on her own Facebook page with the comment:
“This afternoon, I was welcomed to Lancaster Ryelands Primary and Nursery School where children from various year groups read to me and I was so impressed by their reading skills. They are a testament to their incredible teachers. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every child develops a love for reading, as both a life skill and something to be enjoyed!”
