Year 5 – Crown Green Bowls

Pine class were invited to Skerton Liberal club to learn how to play Crown Green Boules. Dan, the instructor, said he had been playing Crown Green Bowls since he was 10 years old. He taught them how to hold the bowls and how to get the bowls to roll in the direction you wanted before setting us off to try and hit the targets. We oplayed lots of different games and were very proud of our children and Mrs Procter and Mrs Grogan, some of whom managed to get near perfect bowls. We are looking forward to our first Crown Green Bowls competition on 10th June.
