Year 5 – Pyramid Pulleys

Year 5, we received a letter off the Cairo Museum telling us about their findings in Tutankhamun’s Tomb. Using an X-ray, they have found hieroglyphs that suggest Nefertiti might be buried in the same tomb. The museum said they needed to build a new tomb ready for when they discovered her burial place and asked if we could design a pulley system to help them to speed up the process as 20 years is too long to build a pyramid.
Pine Class and Rowan Class gladly took up the challenge and designed pulley systems and then made some prototypes to send to the Cairo Museum. We hope you like looking at our designs.
