Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic day experiencing life as Victorian children, right here in Lancaster! Only a short walk from school, Year 5 got jobs as servants, visited Mrs. Jolly in her family home, played with Victorian toys and even had a Victorian classroom experience!
Victorian servants must be ‘Soft of tread, swift of hand and silent of tongue!’ The three ‘S’s!
Victorian school children must remember the school motto: ‘Good better best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better best.’
One thing which stood out very obviously to our pupils was the differences between the lives of poor Victorian children and rich Victorian children.
